Hello Sewing Friends,
I’m starting something new! I’m attempting to film sewing tutorials for You tube. I made Simplicity pattern s9755 twice and decided it was the perfect candidate for the tutorial. While I am nervous to do this and don’t feel like I’m very good at it, I’ve heard from several sources that there’s no way to improve at it other than to just begin and learn though your mistakes. I’m certain I’ll look back on the quality and execution in horror someday, but I’m determined to challenge myself to learn a new skill set.
I originally grabbed s9755 in order to jump start my sewjo. I used this very unique fabric that I had come across years ago, and I had so much fun with this make. I had an issue with the facing and at first I assumed that it was because I chose a stretch denim for the project. I didn’t want to tell people that there was an issue with the pattern if it was in fact me and my mistake, so I immediately tried the pattern again with a woven fabric. It turns out that the pattern just has an issue where the facing isn’t big enough. Other than that discovery, it’s a great pattern and fun to make.
Here is my review video I made for Instagram.
I would caution anyone making it to use a zipper with a small pull on it. This particular fly doesn’t have a lot of coverage and anything other than a small zipper pull will show.
Those are my thoughts and here are the three makes . . .

Here is the tutorial!
Let me know what you think of these makes and check back next Wednesday for the next video and outfit reveal.
