How cute is this top? This might be the perfect fall out fit. I found this challis/rayon at Joann Fabrics and I just thought it was too fun to pass by. I recently purchased Simplicity 9604 because I’ve been on the look out for crop tops I can wear with high waisted pants. This one caught my eye because of the neck details.
This pattern was fast and easy to construct. I did add an inch and a half to the length of the bodice to make sure it went around my chest and landed low enough. I love half shirts but I want a very limited amount of skin peeking out. I’m going to make at least one more and this time I’ll make the wrist elastic a little more loose.
What do you think? Would you make this top?

Your top looks great on you but no, I wouldn’t make it for myself. this is because I am 70, no longer have a midriff to be proud of, I feel the cold (I live in the UK), and it’s a bit voluminous for my style.
