Week four, gardening attire

I tend to wander outside to water and then start pulling weeds and before you know it I’ve trashed another pair of shoes and outfit. I have endeavored to solve this problem by purchasing some designated gardening shoes, hat and making some cute gardening clothes.

First up is a garden apron made with this fun print that reminds me of hydrangeas since they don’t grow well in my part of Texas. I grew them when we lived in Georgia and they were amazing!

I’m wearing it over my Teahouse dress by Sewhouse7. My smile is so genuine. It’s by far not the most complicated or flattering thing I’ve made but it gave me so much joy and does give me joy every time I slip it on and go out to water. That’s the power of sewing, I get the put clothes on my body that I love and that mean something extra special to me.

I used McCall’s pattern M8308.
