Week 35, a make just for fun!

I bought this fabric just because I liked it, and my original plan was to make a Chinese style shirt out of it.  It’s a rich brocade from Joann Fabrics, and when I saw this Simplicity pattern my intention shifted to this skirt.  I laid out the pieces and realized I, of course, was a yard short.  They still had the fabric at Joann, so I was saved.

The skirt flew together in no time, and I’m delighted with the outcome.  My inspiration was the skirts they have at Chic Wish.  I’m working on a black top to go with the skirt and I hope to have it ready to reveal next Sunday.
